The Strategy Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor and work in close partnership with business heads and senior leadership to analyse opportunities, operate transformational strategies to achieve the business mandate, operate change by partnering with business leadership with clear accountability, provide clarity in complex problems, facilitate decision-making, and guide high value investments.
- Participate on projects across their lifecycle: identifying the problem, analyzing root causes, developing solutions.
- Work with businesses in the execution of improvement strategies.
- Analyse aspects of client service.
- Develop relationships with support functions and senior leadership.
- Conduct in-depth research to support business strategies and identify trends across key business drivers of Citi such as credit, asset trends, cost structure, pricing, product management and operational functions.

Qualifications:
- 2-5 years financial/business analysis experience.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting process.
- Experience working in cross-cultural global teams.
- Ability to think analytically.
- Ability to synthesize large complex data, derive meaningful insights, and articulate a solution that meets senior requirements.
- Extremely self-motivated & hard working,

Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support and strengthen client asset regulatory practices within the APAC region for the Global Markets business, ensuring compliance with local regulations while aligning with global standards. The Analyst will provide critical oversight, insights, and guidance on APAC client asset processes as part of a globally connected team, helping to mitigate risk and maintain regulatory excellence. Over time, the role may extend to cover client asset practices for other business lines within the firm.
Job Background/Context
We are seeking a highly motivated and detailed orientated Analyst to support the Client Asset Regulation practices for the APAC region. While this role is based in Mumbai, you will be part of a global team headquartered in London, collaborating closely with colleagues across the United Kingdom (UK), Europe (EU) and Middle East and Africa (MEA) Clusters. The successful candidate will ensure that APAC client asset practices align with global standards and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the APAC region in implementing and maintaining client asset regulatory frameworks and controls, initially for Global Markets.
- Assist in interpreting regional regulatory requirements and ensuring alignment with global policies.
- Collaborate with the global team to ensure consistent application of client asset practices across the regions.
- Conduct reviews and assessments of APAC client asset processes, highlighting issues and recommending improvements.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulators (if required).
- Monitor APAC regulatory developments and provide insights on potential impacts to client asset practices.
- Support internal and external audits or regulatory inquiries relevant to APAC.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; with high attention to detail.
