Operations Optimization and Enablement (OOE) group has been formed to drive change and implement Operations strategy. OOE is helping to lead the Citi transformation agenda by rapidly scaling programs of work which will redefine core operations architecture and the processes they support. One key element of the OOE is Movement of Funds. This team plays a crucial role in managing and refining risk associated with movements of funds – covering outgoing, incoming, and internal transfers. Focused on defining a clear payment risk appetite, consolidating and reporting payment risks as a unified entity, and harmonizing controls across the enterprise.
Approach includes developing a cohesive framework for risk management and reducing reliance on detective controls by implementing proactive measures.
By addressing these areas, the aim is to streamline processes, enhance financial stability, and ensure consistent, effective operations throughout the organization.
We are looking for an individual who challenges the status quo, considers all options and drives consensus with multiple stakeholders to lead adoption of AI with Data & Analytics strategy. The successful candidate will be comfortable thinking strategically at a high level and diving deep in pursuit of driving OOE Data & Analytics strategic implementations in support of driving firms processing risk appetite to Path-to-Green.
Responsibilities:

Work with Solution Leads to help Co-ordinate and articulate the execution strategy, vision and implementation approach for Data & Analytics to support strategic payment control solutions.

Work with Solution Leads to for Partnering with technology, inter and intra LoB teams, and lines of defense teams to synchronize execution, to expose dependencies, to evaluate execution risks, to escalate issues, to assess status, and to bring reporting transparencies to the broader organization.

Work with Solution Leads to Drive best practice execution and promote standardization and consistency for the payment control solutions.

Bring awareness, ideate improvements and solutions, and coordinate relationships to related programs as necessary.

Ensure all process and technology implementation for the controls meets Operations’ outcomes

Specific responsibilities include:
Lead the team of individuals in alignment with global priorities across all workstreams who is heavily on Data Models, Frameworks and governance.

Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across the organization, as well as communicate with key stakeholders
-
Ensure resilience, scale, speed and security of the Data Infrastructure in partnership with technology
-
Apply consistent delivery practice aligning to program governance to validate the strategic investments of the OOE MOF portfolio towards the agreed target state.

Ensure close alignment with workstream leads across the OOE MOF to ensure cohesion across disciplines so that the strategic outcomes are recognized in the implementations.

Conduct and lead the way to facilitate requirement, and user story walkthroughs and test results reviews in collaboration with tech Dev, testing, LOB teams.

Problem solving to address challenges and obstacles that arise during implementation, identifying solutions and making informed decisions

Decision making - decisive & data driven to provide clear guidance and alignment

Adaptability: Ability to navigate the team through ambiguity and embrace change

High emotional intelligence to navigate the team through a complex matrix of stakeholders.

Large, complex implementation and transformation program expertise

Hands-on Data analysis experience

Hands-on Program Management experience

Hands-on Business Analysis experience

Some proficiency in technology architecture, workflow, and tools to ensure efficient execution

Change Management: Ability to plan, execute and monitor implementation.

Payments Expertise – strong understanding of payment flows, types, and messaging

Knowledge of Markets, SSO, TTS, and Lending products from transaction booking to payments

Strong understanding of Citi Systems helpful
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree on Computer Science, Master’s degree preferred
