The Early Career Program Manager, Assistant Vice President (6-month Fixed Term Contract commencing July 1, 2026) is responsible for the full end-to-end management of the Analyst and Associate Early Career program experience, including but not limited to rotation management, training, performance reviews, compensation, promotion, and mobility.
This position is within the Citi International Early Careers Team which comprises talent acquisition and program management and sits within the Human Resources function. The job holder will support the management of a specific group of Citi’s early career populations through managing well-executed programs. Program managers have a close working relationship with local, regional and global HR Advisors, Learning and Development, Recruiters and business stakeholders.
What you’ll do

Act as the HR point of contact for assigned Analyst and Associate programs across specific business areas in Asia.

Plan, organize, and execute rotations and placements that meet both individual development needs and business priorities.

Partner with HR Business Partners and compensation teams to complete the year-end performance management and compensation process, including performance ratings, promotion discussions, compensation review, and supporting relevant reporting.

Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and global colleagues to enhance and innovate program design.

Collaborate with the Early Career Learning team to support the delivery of training programs.

Responsible for initiating, monitoring and overseeing the performance management process for program participants.

Support the mid and long-term career development of the early career populations by providing career coaching.

Maintain strong insight into the program population through regular check‑ins, morale monitoring, and informal feedback mechanisms.

Partner with Employee Relations, and Legal teams to evaluate and resolve employee relations matters.

Engage managers and staffers throughout the talent cycle to promote best practices in managing and developing early career talent, including manager capability and mentorship initiatives.

Work with HR partners to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews and maintaining attrition data/reporting.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
What we’ll need from you

5+ years' experience in HR Advisory/Generalist roles, Early Career Recruitment, or Program Management (preferred)

Familiarity with performance management and compensation processes (preferred)

Knowledge of the banking industry and culture (an advantage)

Understanding of the developmental needs of early career populations

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders

Ability to prioritize effectively while managing multiple time‑sensitive tasks in a fast‑paced environment

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

A collaborative, proactive team player who is eager to learn and work with colleagues across countries, regions, and global teams
