The “Data Scientist: People Analytics and Insights” will be responsible for:
- Applying analytical/technical expertise to translate business problems into actionable solutions.
- Leading execution and automation of analytical projects to ensure that outputs fulfill client requirements and expectations.
- Leading a team of junior analysts to solve complex analytical problems.
- Performing ETL tasks and data analyses (exploratory, confirmatory, and/or qualitative), including wide use of statistical models/algorithms using Python/R/SAS, etc.
- Leveraging data mining and machine learning techniques to build statistical models across a broad spectrum of topics.
- Working with technology and other partners to build and maintain the People Analytics & Insights database, including integrating multiple systems and building large/complex data sets for analytics.
- Staying abreast of current trends in data science research and technology.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and data products in Tableau to enable scalable insights delivery across stakeholders.
- Partnering with HR and business stakeholders to translate requirements into Tableau dashboards, visualizations, and self‑service analytics solutions.
The Ideal Candidate will have: Education
- Master’s Degree / Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, IT, or related quantitative discipline.
6+ years of experience in:
- Utilizing Python for data science, visualization, and project automation.
- Python packages such as Pandas, Scikit‑learn, Seaborn, Num Py, Plotly, etc.
- Advanced SQL (or similar languages for querying relational databases).
- SAS, R, and other scripting languages.
- Tableau: Proficiency in building dashboards, calculated fields, LOD expressions, parameter actions, performance optimization, and publishing to Tableau Server.
- Experience in developing scalable Tableau dashboards for senior HR/business leadership is strongly preferred.
Additional Skills
- Expertise in ML algorithms: classification, clustering, time series forecasting, NLP (spacy, NLTK, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects to timely delivery.
- Experience managing and working with large databases; strong understanding of data structures, transformation, validation, and audit processes.
- Strong collaboration skills—Analytics & Insights is a team sport.
- Ability to manage structured and unstructured data with high attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple analytics projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Business and HR acumen is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a matrix environment.
