Team/Role Overview
Across ASL, the collateral team plays a significant role in every department.This involves verifying that all loans are adequately collateralized prior to releasing and continuously monitoring to prevent any exposure Utilizing CitiDirect, the collateral team processes high-value payments and manages Brij transfers, working in conjunction with the reconciliation teams, Settlements and Trade support. Beyond BAU activities, this role involves daily communication with our traders and close collaboration with our NAM and APAC regions.
What you’ll do
- Participate in the implementation of assigned projects, including new products and platform upgrades.
- Identify policy gaps and formulate new policies to streamline trade flow processes.
- Monitor and provide solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank.
- Oversee all EMEA collateral tasks for a portfolio valued at 50 billion across 22 markets for Agency Securities Lending (ASL) activity.
- Safeguard accounts to ensure no exposures and ensure timely responses to all communications.
What we’ll need from you
- Relevant experience in securities and derivatives.
- Demonstrated comprehension of Treasury products, accounting, and regulatory policies.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Ability to process high-value payments and manage Brij transfers, collaborating with reconciliation, settlements, and trade support teams.
- Capacity to engage with various ASL teams to facilitate high-value transactions and accommodate last-minute demands.
- Proficiency in interacting with counterparties through various communication platforms and maintaining up-to-date reports.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
