As Director, Commerce Media Strategy & Partnerships, you will lead strategic client engagements and drive revenue growth for the business. You will identify and execute against high-value opportunities and shape the go-to-market strategy for the business and platform. This role will serve as a senior, externally facing leader for the business, owning advertiser engagement, shaping go-to-market strategy, and establishing Citi as a credible and differentiated commerce media partner with brands, agencies, and strategic partners. As Citi scales this new area, the role will also bring deep commerce media expertise to inform decisions across strategy, monetization, platform capabilities, and measurement. The role will play a central part in driving early momentum while laying the foundation for long-term, scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage full funnel of sales activities, including identifying relevant advertisers and managing prospect pipeline, managing pricing, pitching to advertisers and closing sales, securing multimillion dollar, multiyear deals

Manage advertiser relationships, including conducting regular client meetings to review program performance, troubleshooting issues, ensuring timely and accurate billing, and driving agreed upon KPIs

Serve as a link between partners and internal teams, working closely with platform team, digital team, and other internal stakeholders to translate advertiser needs and market feedback into plans to build out the product offering, customer experience, and advertiser tools

Serve as the primary representative for Citi in advertiser meetings, agency discussions, and industry forums

Develop and refine advertiser-facing narratives, pitch decks, and sales materials in partnership with internal teams

Support PR and industry awareness efforts to build market credibility and demand
Qualifications:
-
15+ years of experience in digital advertising, media sales, or consultative solution selling

The ideal candidate has a proven track record selling to senior leadership positions in a variety of industries with an emphasis on financial, retail, and digital partners

Strong commercial drive with proven ability to engage senior clients through excellent communication and influencing skills, subject matter expertise, and thought leadership

Deep understanding of commerce media networks, including how media is planned, activated, and measured

Experience shaping advertiser value propositions, pitch narratives, and sales materials that drive adoption

Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and represent the business with credibility in the market

Proven ability to thrive in highly matrixed organizations and drive stakeholder alignment around key decisions
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred and managerial experience
