About the Role: The Product & Innovation (P&I) group operates across all business, platform/data, and sales organizations, with a core focus on building out the future product and business pipeline for the Services franchise. This team specializes in areas such as Digital Assets, Partnerships, Investments, and Emerging Commerce, working closely with both business and sales teams to engage with clients. This role, as head of Services Client Advisory will leverage significant synergies between client advisory work and the P&I group's activities in product development and client implementation, playing a crucial role in shaping and delivering innovative solutions to our diverse client base.
The Services Client Advisory Head and the respective team will engage with senior decision makers across all Services’ client segments. They will also create thought-leadership content for clients on industry direction and best practices, and provide Citi's sales and product development teams with insights on client needs to help shape the future direction of our solutions.
This team will focus on client segments like Corporates, Asset Managers, Banks, Insurance Companies, Fintechs, Digital Asset Companies, and ERP providers, etc. Furthermore, the team will work closely with the five product organizations of Services as well as the Cluster and Sales organizations to engage effectively with clients. As part of their operating process and engagement, the Client Advisory team will interact and interconnect with the other P&I teams and share responsibilities for future product development.
Business Areas Covered:
This role will require engagement and expertise across several key business areas, including:
- Issuer Services: Focusing on the needs and solutions for issuers in the market.
- PDS (Platform and Data Services): Contributing to the development and enhancement of new digital and data offerings.
- Investor Services: Understanding and addressing the requirements of investors.
- Cash Management: Addressing client needs related to payments and liquidity solutions.
- TWCS: Engaging with clients on trade finance and related services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate thought leadership content on product and macro-market trends for both internal and external use, as well as on industry direction and best practices for clients.
- Provide strategic inputs on the future product pipeline to business teams, influencing product development by offering insights on client needs.
- Advise on future connectivity and network distribution channel options to enhance client reach and service delivery.
- Analyze competitive threats and identify new opportunities within the market landscape.
- Participate actively in client demonstrations and workshops, showcasing our capabilities and gathering client insights.
- Coordinate client event planning with the Marketing team to ensure impactful client engagement opportunities
- Coordinate and partner with sales on client messaging and outreach
- Foster business collaboration and design to deliver payments, liquidity, financing and asset servicing in support of rapidly growing businesses, especially in the digital business arena.
- Consult on challenges of operating in both developed markets and emerging markets with changing cross border and new business corridors.

Required Qualifications:
- Extensive and profound experience in strategy, industry and sector research, e-commerce platforms, digital banking and corporate finance
- Strong understanding of financial services products, market structure and dynamics, and client needs across the specified business areas.
- Proven ability to develop and articulate thought leadership content. strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders and diverse client types with corporate sectors and asset managers.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market opportunities, competitive threats, and product fit.
- Experience in client-facing roles, participating in client discussions, demos, and workshops.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business, sales, and marketing, and with the five product organizations of Services.
- Possess a strong commercial mindset, essential for contributing to business growth as a trusted advisor.
- Exhibit a strategic mindset, necessary to help shape the future direction of Citi's solution innovations
- Be a highly motivated self-starter, with excellent communication skills, able to influence and align peers and partners to execution across a large, global, matrix organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in product development or strategy within a financial services context, specifically in Issuer Services, PDS, Investor Services, Liquidity Management, or Trade Services
- Familiarity with digital assets, partnerships, investments, and emerging commerce trends.
