Markets Operations Lead Analyst (Vice President)
Role Overview
This is a critical role in transforming FICC Operations by enhancing efficiency, fortifying the control environment, and driving sustainable growth. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that streamline processes, embed robust and scalable controls, and leverage innovative technologies to achieve operational excellence and resilience.
What you'll do
- Lead the development and execution of strategies for operational agility, manual process uplift, and the implementation of scalable control frameworks across FICC Operations.
- Identify and analyse current operational inefficiencies and manual processes, proposing and implementing automation solutions (e.g., AI, low-code platforms) to drive significant efficiency gains.
- Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of risk and control frameworks (e.g., MCA), ensuring compliance and reducing deficiencies.
- Champion the adoption of new technologies and innovative practices within the team and across FICC Operations, driving the embedding of AI use cases and increasing AI tool usage.
- Drive operational improvement and control implementation, fostering a culture of continuous learning, depth of knowledge, and high performance.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, and senior leadership to align operational strategies with business objectives, manage vendor relationships, and ensure effective communication.
- Define, track, and report on key metrics related to operational efficiency, control effectiveness, and risk reduction, ensuring data-driven decisions and transparent value proposition.
What we need from you
- Advanced proficiency and substantial experience
- Proven track record in leading and delivering complex operational transformation projects.
- Experience with control design, implementation, and effectiveness evaluation (e.g., MCA controls).
- Demonstrated experience with automation technologies, including AI, RPA, or low-code development.
- Understanding of financial products, markets, and regulatory requirements desirable.
- Ability to develop long-term strategies and translate them into actionable plans.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage diverse teams. Strong influencing skills to drive change across organizational boundaries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and concisely to senior management and diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with operational technologies, data analytics tools, and relevant industry software (e.g., Service Now, AI platforms).
- Experience in leading organizational change and fostering adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
