We are seeking an accomplished and strategic C14 Reporting Lead in India to spearhead our In-business risk reporting function for retail products. This critical leadership role involves overseeing the execution and delivery of vital reports for a large user base of over 100 individuals, ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and insightful analysis.
The primary objective of this role is to lead, mentor, and empower a team of analysts and developers to produce accurate, timely, and insightful Reporting and Management Information Systems (MIS) within a complex technological ecosystem comprising SAS, Python, advanced databases, and Tableau. As a strategic leader, you will be instrumental in cultivating robust stakeholder relationships, championing continuous process improvements, and ensuring the successful achievement of all reporting initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead, inspire, and continuously develop a high-performing team of reporting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Reporting Execution & Delivery: Oversee the comprehensive, end-to-end execution of all reporting deliverables, from initial requirements gathering and design through to final delivery, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Strategic Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with senior stakeholders across various business units, proactively understanding their evolving reporting needs and strategically positioning the reporting team to deliver exceptional value and actionable insights.
- Technology & Environment Leadership: Provide expert technical guidance and leadership within our advanced reporting environment, specifically leveraging SAS, Python, SQL databases, and Tableau, to ensure the team utilizes the most effective tools and technologies to meet dynamic business demands.
- Process Optimization & Automation: Champion and drive significant process improvements and automation initiatives across the reporting function, enhancing efficiency, reducing manual effort, and improving the overall effectiveness of reporting operations.
- Strategic Planning & Roadmap: Develop, articulate, and execute a comprehensive strategic roadmap for the reporting function, ensuring alignment with broader business goals, objectives, and evolving market requirements.
- Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) Reporting: Ensure accurate and compliant reporting related to Retail Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA), incorporating Basel Rules and regulatory requirements into reporting processes and deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 15+ years of extensive experience in Retail Products and Regulatory/Risk Management Reporting, with a demonstrable track record of successfully leading and managing high-performing teams.
- Leadership Acumen: Exceptional leadership and management capabilities, with a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a diverse team towards achieving strategic objectives.
- Technical Expertise: A profound understanding of the core technologies prevalent in the reporting environment, including SAS, Python, SQL databases, and Tableau. While hands-on expertise across all areas is not mandatory, a strong conceptual grasp and the ability to provide technical direction are highly desirable.
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen with an in-depth understanding of retail product dynamics and the ability to translate complex business challenges into effective reporting solutions.
- Communication & Influence: Superior communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively build consensus, articulate complex ideas, and drive change at all organizational levels.
- Profitability Dynamics: Well-versed in profitability dynamics and the impact of the macro environment on consumer lending products.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Basel Rules pertaining to Retail Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA).
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience is required.
- A Master's degree is preferred.
