Team / Role Overview
Trade and Working Capital Solutions (TWCS) within the Services organization is a dynamic, high-growth global business offering working capital solutions across Banking, Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Citi Commercial Bank client segments in over 100 countries. As a critical component of the TWCS Business Execution team, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager to join our Trade Business Execution team as a Digital Capability Manager for our Working Capital Solution (WCS).
This critical role involves leading the digital transformation and enhancement product offerings, driving innovation, leading the delivery of new products and capabilities, and ensuring a superior user experience. The successful candidate will be instrumental in defining the product's digital vision and roadmap, managing its execution within an Agile framework, and collaborating closely with various stakeholders from Product, Technology and Operations to achieve business objectives. This role will lead the product roadmap in alignment with Line of Business (LoB) leadership.
What you will do:
Digital Product Strategy & Management
- Lead the execution of the Working Capital capabilities roadmap, ensuring alignment with Product Architect and business leadership on the vision, design, client and business expectations and overall product experience.
- Manage the Agile Release Train (ART), effectively representing the Product team's perspective, defining and overseeing the execution of Epics and ensuring alignment with strategic product goals.
- Lead capability design and development, driving user adoption and continuously striving to improve the overall user experience through iterative improvements and innovative solutions.
- Work with product architect on the vision for the product digital agenda, translating it into a strategic roadmap that supports broader Trade business objectives.
- Prioritize and manage the capability backlog in close collaboration with development teams and business stakeholders. Structure work effectively to ensure efficient delivery and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Own Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) related to technology investment under management, tracking progress and ensuring outcomes contribute directly to business success.
- Work with the Data Owner for the capability’s application(s), ensuring data integrity, governance, and effective utilization for product insights and enhancements.
- Oversee the Technology Investment Process for Payables Finance product, coordinating with stakeholders from Product, Technology and Operations to align on the roadmap, bust and OKRs
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of digital initiatives, regularly reporting progress to senior management and stakeholders.
- Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to drive complex technology initiatives, inspire teams, and foster an Agile culture across the organization. This includes setting OKRs for product development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence: Demonstrate exceptional skills in collaborating with diverse stakeholders (e.g., Business Heads, Technology, Operations, Legal, Risk, Compliance) to align on product goals, roadmap, secure buy-in, execution and adoption.
- Executive Communication & Presentation: Ability to communicate complex Product concepts, strategies, and insights clearly and concisely to senior management and non-technical audiences, influencing decision-making.
- Change Management: Expertise in leading organizational change related to product capabilities adoption, new digital processes, and cultural shifts towards a data-centric approach.
What we'll need from you:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: Extensive experience in product management, digital product development, or a similar leadership role within financial services, preferably in Trade Finance, Corporate Banking, or payment solutions.
- Strategic Digital Road Mapping: Proven ability articulate a clear product roadmap that directly supports business objectives, encompassing capability acquisition, development, processing, and consumption. This includes defining investment plans and execution
- User Experience (UX) Design Principles: Strong understanding of UX design methodologies and principles to drive user adoption and satisfaction.
- Agile Methodology & Project Management: Experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) for managing digital product-related projects and programs, ensuring timely delivery and adaptation to evolving requirements.
- Metrics & KPI Definition: Proficiency in defining, tracking, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of digital initiatives.
- Technology Awareness: Familiarity with WCS products and platforms, emerging technologies, market capabilities and data management relevant to product..
- Business Process Acumen: Ability to understand business processes deeply and identify how digital capabilities can be leveraged to optimize operations, improve client experience, and drive revenue growth.
