  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front-End Developer (Apps Dev Tech Lead Analyst
  • C13) to lead the user interface (UI) development for our cutting-edge digital analytics platform. This role demands a passion for creating intuitive, engaging, and high-performance user experiences. The ideal candidate will be a UI/UX expert with a strong command of modern front-end technologies, particularly React, and a proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable visual representations. You will be instrumental in shaping the visual identity and interaction design of our platform, collaborating closely with product managers, backend engineers, and data scientists.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of innovative and responsive user interfaces for the digital analytics platform.
  • Drive UI/UX best practices and contribute to the overall visual design strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, propose creative UI solutions, and translate concepts into tangible UI elements and designs.
  • Develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable front-end code using React and its ecosystem.
  • Implement and maintain automated UI testing frameworks to ensure robustness and reliability of the user interface.
  • Integrate and leverage various UI libraries, including data visualization tools like Highcharts and advanced grid components like AG Grid, to present complex data effectively.
  • Actively participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Research and evaluate new front-end technologies, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve our development processes and product quality.
  • Utilize AI-assisted development tools, such as Devin AI, to enhance productivity and explore novel UI solutions.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of extensive experience in Front-End Development with a proven track record in building sophisticated web applications.
  • Exceptional UI/UX Design Acumen: A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of user-centered design principles. Ability to conceptualize and deliver engaging and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Expertise in React: In-depth knowledge of React.js, including hooks, context API, and state management libraries (e.g., Redux).
  • Strong Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: Mastery of core web technologies.
  • Experience with Automated UI Testing: Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Familiarity with UI Component Libraries: Practical experience with data visualization libraries like Highcharts and complex table/grid libraries such as AG Grid.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and devise effective, scalable solutions.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Experience with AI-Assisted Development: Familiarity with or a strong interest in using AI tools like Devin AI to streamline development workflows and generate innovative UI elements.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
