The Business Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

This role is responsible for driving consistency and standardization across product delivery processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Planning and Sequencing: Overseeing reviews and coordination of the business’s strategic system roadmap and implementation sequence
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Tracking, measuring, and reporting on key metrics related to solution effectiveness and operational efficiency, including trend analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Asset Management: Maintaining an organized inventory of existing business capabilities and core solution components.
  • Decision Rationale and Documentation: Documenting the strategic rationale and impact assessments for all proposed solution enhancements or process adjustments.
  • Standardized Reporting: Ensuring consistent and standardized communication of product and solution advancements across all product owner teams.
  • Strategic Development: Articulating a cohesive narrative demonstrating how collective product efforts contribute to the organization's strategic objectives, by enhancing operational solutions for end users.
    This role is critical for fostering alignment, organizational clarity, and a proactive focus among internal and external teams, guiding our mortgage strategy toward sustained operational stability and optimal effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years experience
  • Must be extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter
  • Ability to prioritize is key as is ability to juggle several tasks at once.
  • Must work well under pressure while, enthusiastic, hard-working and positive
  • Desire to improve processes
  • Advanced working knowledge in the Equities IT space and exposure to Cash Prime Brokerage flows.
  • Track record as a Business Analyst within the Financial Services/Investment Banking industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions
  • Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge
  • Experience of working with Agile Methodologies and Tools.
  • Team player and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
  • Ability to learn/understand some technical implications of system design
  • Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of the SDLC

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
