Team/Role Overview

• Middle Office Operations team is seeking a highly motivated Securities & Derivatives Intermediate Analyst. The successful candidate will play a critical role in facilitating our collateral management, transaction processing and payment processing functions. What you will do:

• Work on the end-to-end processing and investigation of client securities, FX, and over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives transactions.

• Run daily and monthly collateral management activities, including agreeing on upcoming payments with counterparties to mitigate risk.

• Execute accurate and timely payment processing by confirming all upcoming payments with various counterparties.

• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks identified by the Reconciliation team, spanning both external (counterparty) and internal (system-to-system) discrepancies.

• Support key business change initiatives, including new client onboarding and the launch of new products.

• Participate in the testing and implementation of new systems and solutions, such as enhancements to platforms like Aladdin.

• Proactively identify opportunities for automation by developing and maintaining advanced Excel-based tools.

• Uphold a strong risk and control mindset by appropriately assessing risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citi’s assets, and ensuring adherence to all laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ensure all team processes align with audit and control policies, and maintain comprehensive desktop manuals.

What we will need from you:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in a Middle Office, Collateral Management, Securities Operations or other Operations role in a financial institution in international environment.

• Knowledge of or genuine interest in securities, foreign exchange (FX), and OTC derivatives products and life cycles.

• Proven ability to analyze complex problems, streamline processes, and implement effective solutions.

• Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks, preferably within the financial services industry.

• Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication skills.

• Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with industry platforms like Aladdin.

• Experience in creating automation tools using Excel (VBA, Macros).
