The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Lead Analyst to drive the development and execution of product plans and strategies within our Small Business Lending Product team. In this senior role, you will be instrumental in expanding our market presence, increasing market share, and solidifying our competitive position by coordinating the promotion and evolution of our product offerings. You will lead initiatives that directly contribute to the growth and success of small businesses clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Product Development: Lead the development and analysis of strategic product roadmaps, guiding product enhancement, new product development, and successful product launches to maximize product benefit.
- Product Management Leadership: Oversee day-to-day product management activities for core products, focusing on product delivery, client experience, and communication strategies. Proactively identify and remove obstacles to achieve business results.
- Client Value & Market Penetration: Develop and execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, and channel strategies. Drive competitive differentiation to establish Citi as the preferred partner for clients.
- Mentorship & Team Development: Provide informal guidance and on-the-job training to new team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification: Conduct comprehensive surveys and analyze competitive industry landscapes to identify emerging trends, potential threats, and new opportunities for product managers
- Innovation & Solutions: Oversee client and competitor market research to inform the product innovation roadmap. Partner with product managers to address challenges and create advanced solutions for product commoditization.
- Financial Performance & Business Growth: Drive product financial performance, revenue growth, and expense management. Identify and execute opportunities to close gaps in business plans.
- Operational Excellence & Client Service: Implement streamlined team procedures, facilitate effective client problem resolution, and enhance overall client management.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Actively assess and mitigate risk in all business decisions, safeguarding Citi's reputation, clients, and assets. Ensure strict compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, exercising sound ethical judgment and transparently escalating and reporting control issues.
Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in product management, marketing, or a related field within financial services, specifically small business lending.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly to changing circumstances and deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Preferred:
- Experience with agile product development methodologies.
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments impacting small business lending.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or University degree in a related field required. Master’s degree preferred
