Global Lending Operations (GLO) serves as the foundation of Citi Loan Servicing, specializing in the execution of loan closings, servicing, and compliance. This team ensures meticulous management of the loan portfolio from initiation through maturity, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to delivering customized financial solutions to clients. The Lending Ops Group is instrumental in upholding Citi's reputation for reliability and financial integrity.

The Agency Servicing Loan Operations team is responsible for managing the portfolio of syndicated corporate loans where Citi acts as the Administrative Agent ("Agent"). The Agent serves as the conduit between the Borrower(s) and the syndicate lending group to manage loan servicing activities as defined by the credit agreement.
This group is responsible for supporting multiple aspects of the lending lifecycle including but not limited to loan servicing and support, data management, and process controls across multiple business lines and product types (e.g., large corporate, commercial, real estate, structured lending).

As a Sr. Agency Servicing Analyst, you are a subject matter expert in the loan syndication process who could manage both their day to day activities and people aspect of the role. This individual is responsible for overseeing complex servicing tasks and provide guidance to Assoc and Intmd Analysts, and is involved in coaching and training of new recruits.

Expectation is for individuals to be accountable, results oriented and uphold High ethical standard to build and maintain credible and trustworthy relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of loan servicing concepts and procedures to manage more complex tasks across loan servicing processes, while also providing guidance to junior team members across the day to day loan servicing process

  • Collaborate with internal partners (i.e. Risk Mgmt., Compliance and Legal) to coordinate processes and resolve issues

  • Serve as the main point of contact and maintain strong working relationships with clients, business partners and syndicate members, to ensure smooth resolutions of any requests, inquiries, issues, and errors related to loan servicing

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within loan servicing process to conduct data analysis, evaluations and resolve complex loan issues

  • Design and analyze complex reports for loan servicing activities to satisfy management requirements and escalate controls gaps and issues to management

  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes, develop strategies and lead the implementation of procedures to streamline loan servicing operations

  • Ensure loan servicing activities adhere to Risk Mgmt. & Compliance procedures, while implementing mitigation strategies as needed

  • Serve as a checker to analysts and intermediate analysts, providing constructive feedback and insightful guidance

  • Serve as an approver to release low/medium value payments

  • Conduct regular training and brown bag sessions to enhance team knowledge and skills

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in banking or finance, with expertise in managing and servicing syndicated loans

  • Expert knowledge of Business Processes, Systems and Tools used in the Loan Process

  • Demonstrate understanding of syndicated Loan Processes, Procedures, Products and Services

  • Awareness of managing, preparing, and reviewing loan documentation

  • Awareness of risk types, policies and control measures and processes

  • Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • Experience with identifying, mitigating, managing, resolving, and escalating risks and issues

  • Advanced proficiency with Loan IQ

  • Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
