Mainframe Content Developer
The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

The role will be responsible for review, analysis, design, and development; planning and Sprint oversight, supporting AGILE development. Responsibilities are inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
-
Manage application development deliverables for the entire Life cycle of the development Project - both Waterfall and Agile models as may be applicable for each project assigned
-
Gather technical requirements, code specifications, test plans and results; and other deliverables required for multiple projects.

Perform analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of applications under minimal supervision
-
Provide expertise in technical analysis and be able to resolve complex issues through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes

Ensure alignment to architectural assertions and constantly look for opportunities to modernize application
-
Work effectively with remote teams, with a focus on fostering positive working relationships

Integrate with a team of highly seasoned application developers

Qualifications:
-
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems; Computer Technology; Computer Information Systems; Computer Science or a demonstration of programming experience.

Demonstrable analytical and quantitative skills
-
Experience:
-
5+ years of hands-on experience working in Mainframe technologies, Java technologies
-
Demonstrable experience having led and directed teams
-
Experience with full project life cycle from establishing requirements through delivery and production
-
Well versed with 3 tier architecture/ component layer architecture
-
Core competencies: Mainframe Developer/ Content Management skills
-
Knowledge and experience in Content Management Tools (Exstream or Messagepoint, ADA tagging), JIRA, Confluence
-
z/OS, COBOL, JCL, CICS, MVS, VSAM, DB2, Connect:Direct (NDM), SQL Server, MQ
-
Familiarity with Linux/AIX, Shell Scripting

Experience on DevOps Tools
-
Bitbucket, Jenkins

Additional Competencies, which would be an advantage:

Experience working with business critical, high volume, and complex enterprise systems

Experience in working on cross platforms or legacy modernization projects
-
Knowledge of and experience with automating development processes and testing
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Overall 4+ years of experience
7+ years of Mainframe, COBOL, JCL, DB2, and other standard mainframe tools. 5+ years of Message Point and Exstream content and composition software.
3+ years of Java and UNIX experience.
3+ years in SDLC experience in Jira, RDZ, Bitbucket.
