About the Role:
AIM Financial Crime and Fraud Prevention Analytics team is seeking an experienced and innovative Business Analytics professional to join our Fraud Strategy and Analytics team to design, optimize, and deploy fraud detection strategies across products and channels. This role partners closely with Fraud Operations, Risk, Product, Technology, and Model Risk teams to support effective fraud loss mitigation, customer experience protection, and regulatory compliance.
The incumbent will act as a subject matter expert in fraud strategy, leveraging advanced analytics, rules-based frameworks, and machine learning techniques to balance fraud losses, false positives, and operational efficiency.
This is a senior individual contributor role requiring strong disciplinary and industry knowledge, with responsibility for improving analytical processes and contributing to the development and enhancement of fraud strategies. The role requires an understanding of how analytics, operations, and technology capabilities integrate to support broader business objectives. The incumbent is expected to evaluate complex and variable fraud problems, weigh multiple alternatives, and balance competing considerations using diverse data sources. The role may assume informal leadership within project teams, including mentoring junior analysts and contributing to high-impact initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of fraud strategies across products or channels

Own end-to-end fraud performance management

Analyze large, complex datasets to identify fraud patterns and emerging risks

Translate analytical insights into actionable fraud controls

Conduct testing and post-implementation monitoring

Partner with Fraud Operations on alert quality and feedback loops

Collaborate with Technology and Data Engineering teams

Prepare senior-level dashboards and executive summaries

Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements

Gather and synthesize data from cross-functional stakeholders

Identify trends and behavioral insights to inform targeting and segmentation

Recommend actions supporting strategy and policy enhancements

Continuously improve strategies by exploring new data sources and tools

Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team standards

Apply sound ethical judgment and manage control issues transparently
Qualifications:

6–10 years of experience in analytics with a focus on fraud prevention in financial services

Strong analytical and business strategy skills

Experience presenting to senior stakeholders

Project and process management skills
-
Self-starter with strong ownership mindset

Strong communication and organizational skills
-
Technical skills: SAS, SQL, Python, Machine Learning, Py Spark
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related discipline or equivalent experience
