The Funds Services Fund Accounting product head is responsible for supporting the Funds Services product head, working with Country Managers (SCM) and local product/sales teams in developing and driving business opportunities, delivering client satisfaction and managing financial performance for Funds Services products across Asia with a focus on HK and China. The core focus of this role is on all aspects of product management and strategy for Fund Accounting including how this service interacts with related service offerings in Custody, Transfer Agency, Financial, Performance and Regulatory Reporting as well as Middle Office Services with specific focus on ensuring that the service offering is integrated and scalable.
Responsibilities:
- Support the management and growth of product strategy along with deployment of enhanced or new solutions by working with the sales, relationship management and local product teams to identify market changes/ trends, understand customer behavior and needs, and develop strategic opportunities for product and sales development.
- Work effectively with the Country Management and product teams to identify and define Citi’s competitive positioning within each market to drive Fund Services product innovation to deliver new commercial opportunities
- Manage a team of product managers in region focused on fund services.
- Drive and own effective P&L management, with full understanding of revenue and cost drivers, business drivers, profitability, etc., for each service offering.
- Assist the Sales process as an SME for new and existing deals including the preparation of the P&L analysis to assess client profitability.
- Assist the country management teams & local relationship teams with the overall management of the Funds Services business inclusive of customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, compliance with local laws and regulations, compliance with relevant global regulations, and adherence to all internal controls and policies.
- Ensure that Fund Services business works effectively with local and regional stakeholders such as Operations and Technology to develop and deliver integrated product and service offerings in each market.
- Act as escalation point for business, operational or service issues and oversee their successful resolution and remediation.
- Liaise with external customers/vendors and partners in other products and operations
- Ensure change management with respect to regulatory, client and environment changes are implemented in an efficient and effective manner.
- Provide quality leadership and advice to client related to business.
- Responsible for the Risk awareness, assessment and control as it pertains to the fund services business
- Drive a positive Voice of the Employee (VOE) rating each year – lead by example
Qualifications:
- 10-15+ years Fund Accounting and Admin industry experience ideally in a fund services business. Ideally a qualified Accountant but will consider deep subject matter expertise and leadership if not qualified.
- Exceptional communication & presentation skills
- Understanding of the Global Funds Regulatory environment, including the US, Ireland, UK and other EMEA and APAC locations
- Has superior strategic, analytic and problem-solving skills, and is capable of clearly communicating a long-term vision across the company and clients.
- Natural collaborator. Partner with product management teams and product delivery executives to ensure both product and client roadmaps and implementation strategies are aligned to technology and business investments.
- Outcome oriented, with a successful track record of delivering excellence for our clients.
- Self-motivated, independent, multi-tasker, willing and able to take ownership of various parts of an initiative.
- Ability to effectively deliver under time pressure, clarifying ambiguity as needed to deliver against expectations.

- Strong analytical skills, including numbers and situational analyses, and high attention to detail.
- Organization and project management skills, including effective cross-functional management skills.
- Able to prioritize work, and shift priorities as needed to meet aggressive deadlines and milestones.
- Promotes teamwork and builds strong relationships within and across global teams.
- Bring multiple teams together to drive towards a common goal for the enterprise.
- Fluent in Mandarin and/or Cantonese preferred
