Team/Role Overview

Credit Risk Management Services (CRMS) is a first-line organization within Institutional Credit Management, dedicated to optimizing Wholesale Credit Risk Lending processes, including credit facility management, legal documentation, collateral, and risk reporting. This opening is within the CRMS Credit Risk Associates Team, which plays a pivotal role in supporting our Business and Risk partners throughout the credit approval process. The team is responsible for mandating Credit Policy adherence, ensuring robust data quality, and facilitating documentation control for diverse business lines and products across Western Europe and the U.S. As a Senior Manager, you will lead and develop a professional team, contributing significantly to the control standards and strategic objectives of the entire function.

What you’ll do

  • Drive results for the wider team by managing cross-country processes, identifying risks, opportunities, and suggesting strategic solutions.
  • Take ownership of critical tasks, initiatives, and projects, ensuring their successful completion.
  • Oversee and manage the team to ensure accuracy and completeness of all credit risk operations activities.
  • Review and implement guidelines and regulations, ensuring all requirements are met and remediating any identified gaps.
  • Liaise and work in close partnership with key stakeholders including Risk, Business, Legal, and Product teams.
  • Enhance productivity through the implementation of automations and workflow realignments.
  • Provide oversight and governance for outsourced service providers, ensuring compliance and performance standards.
  • Assess risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citi's reputation and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws and policies.

What we’ll need from you

We are seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in credit risk operations and people management:

  • 6-10 years of professional experience in Banking or another Financial Institution, with a minimum of 5 years in people management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Risk Operations, Credit Risk, Corporate Finance, or the Lending field.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze risks and opportunities, make informed decisions, and propose strategic solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience interacting effectively with senior partners at all organizational levels.
  • High proficiency in English (written and verbal).
  • Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel, with excellent numerical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s/University degree; a Master’s degree is preferred.
