The Digital S/W Engineer Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role.

We are looking for experienced full-stack software engineers who are passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. This role will be responsible for writing code, pairing with other developers as appropriate, decomposing acceptance criteria to understand team backlog deliverables, complexities, and risk, while working as a strong contributor on an agile team.

From a technical standpoint, the Software Engineer has full-stack coding and implementation responsibilities and adheres to best practice principles including modern cloud-based software development, agile and scrum, code quality, and tool usage. The Software Engineer works to understand and influence software architecture, while contributing to Citi’s and GFT’s technical user base.

We are seeking a seasoned and hands-on Lead Full Stack Developer to join and guide our engineering team in building scalable, high-performance web applications and microservices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with **Java (Spring Boot)**and Angular, a strong grasp of modern DevOps practices including Docker/Kubernetes, and a working knowledge of AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of full-stack applications using Spring Boot and Angular.
  • Architect and implement scalable microservices deployed in Docker containers orchestrated with Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA to define and deliver high-quality, performant software.
  • Guide and mentor a team of developers through code reviews, best practices, and technical problem-solving.
  • Participate in and lead Agile ceremonies: sprint planning,daily standups,backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Work with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to ensure timely and quality feature delivery.
  • Manage deployments using ECS and related AWS services; ensure smooth CI/CD integration.
  • Own technical decisions and contribute to long-term architecture strategy and planning.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5-8 years of professional experience in software development, including: Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API development
  • Angular (v8+), TypeScript, HTML, CSS
  • 5+ years in a technical/leadership role, mentoring engineers and influencing architecture.
  • Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on with Docker,Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
  • Deployment and infrastructure knowledge on AWS, especially ECS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases, including writing complex queries and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience leading teams in Agile environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:

  • AWS certifications (Developer Associate, Solutions Architect)
  • Exposure to event-driven systems (Kafka, SNS/SQS)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
