You’re ready to bring your knowledge from the classroom to the trading floor, and Citi wants to help you get there. Whether it’s honing your skills or building your network, we know that success can’t come without growth. Our programs equip you with the knowledge and training you need to play a valuable role on your team and establish a long-term career here. At Citi, we value internal mobility, and career growth is not a question of if, but when. Citi is looking for full-time Analysts to join the Markets business in Latin America. Areas of opportunity within the program include:
Trading
Balance Sheet Management
Corporate & Government Markets Product Offering
Equities
Financial Institution Markets Product Offering
All Markets Analysts will attend a 4-week training program, consisting of entry-level orientation and classroom training taught by skilled external consultants, along with selected professionals with industry/product expertise. Our training is designed to cover all fundamental aspects needed for the Markets Analyst role.
You may be required to fulfill regulatory requirements that apply to the Markets area in your working country. Once this is completed, you will be given the opportunity to rotate across different areas allowing you to develop a broader knowledge base and network within the firm. You will perform a variety of functions, adding more value as you develop. We believe our Analysts should be fully educated on all aspects of the markets. Therefore, if you spend your first rotation in Sales, you may want to switch to the Trading side of the business. We give you the opportunity to do so. Placement occurs when you are matched with an appropriate job upon completion of the program. Our goal is to ensure that every Analyst is placed in a position that best pairs his or her skill sets and personal interests with the needs of the firm.
Education:
You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (graduating until June 2026), or are a recent graduate within the last two years.
We want to hear from you if...
You are creative in solving problems and are intellectually curious
You are detail oriented, hard-working and diligent
You are enthusiastic, quick-thinking and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
You are confident and comfortable with clients and articulate in oral and written communication
You are focused on achieving the group and client objectives
You are fluent in English and Portuguese
You have a sincere interest in the Latin America market

As our business becomes more and more digital, we’re looking for solutions-oriented candidates with strong technical skills who can bring fresh ideas about how we can better use information, artificial intelligence, natural language processing and optimal UI designs to transform our global markets business. As a Markets Analyst, you will be trained in the fundamentals of the markets sales & trading functions as well as innovation and machine learning concepts. Moreover, you will spend time working on several sales & trading desks and perform work critical to our franchise, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our Markets Analysts to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new challenges and opportunities across our front-to-back processes as we continue to push our technology forward. We value diversity, and so should you. We’ll be looking for talented people with bachelor’s degrees from a variety of universities.
