The Senior Business Analyst at C12 level plays a critical role in bridging the gap between client/ business needs, and technological solutions within Investor Services Operations Change.

You will lead and contribute to the development of new technologies, improvement of processes and work-flows as well as client, mandatory and regulatory initiatives.  Role requires great analytical skills in order to design, test and validate complex solutions and services for our clients and operational teams. Communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively cooperate with multiple stakeholders across Product, Technology, Operations and our Clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Business Analysis Activities: Lead all business analysis activities on assigned complex projects, both client and internal, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business objectives.

  • Requirements Elicitation & Management: Lead the preparation and analysis of proposed system changes, gathering consensus between business requirements and technology deliverables to assure smooth project implementation. Document comprehensive business requirements (BRDs) and functional specifications.

  • Process Analysis & Design: Perform in-depth process analysis and design solutions in response to complex client or operational needs across funds operations, including the development of target operating models and process re-engineering.

  • System Functionality & Testing Oversight: Oversee testing of new system functionalities in UAT environments. Formulate and coordinate regression test plans and support Production Validation Testing for new system functionalities and client changes. Oversee the delivery of business requirements, prepare testing plans, and execute/oversee testing.

  • Strategic Stakeholder Management: Co-operate closely with business stakeholders, Product, Technology partners, and clients, ensuring the right infrastructure aligns with organizational vision and strategic goals. Build and maintain effective working relationships with Technology, Oversight teams, Relationship Managers, and Project Managers.

  • Risk Mitigation & Compliance: Take proactive actions targeted at minimizing and mitigating implementation and project risk. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, legal, and regulatory requirements.

  • Client & Business Support: Manage client and business ad-hoc queries and requirements.

  • Team Development & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts/team members, fostering their development and ensuring high-quality output. Encourage a positive and professional working environment through regular training and engagement.

  • Reporting & Strategic Planning: Prepare and present project status, performance data, and key insights to management and stakeholders. Display appropriate involvement in Department strategic planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years or more of relevant experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within a complex corporate environment, preferably in the financial services industry.

Fund Services Domain Expertise (Required): Proven and extensive experience (minimum 3+ years) in investment fund accounting, Transfer Agency, and/or Middle Office processes and systems. In-depth knowledge of funds services and its processes.

  • Change Management: Experience as a Business Analyst in a Change Management unit or in operational improvements (e.g., Lean, reengineering programs).

  • SDLC & Testing: Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing phases (UAT, functional, regression).

  • Skills:Analytical & Problem-Solving: In-depth analytical skills, able to work and manipulate data sets, draw conclusions, create reports, and perform root cause analysis. Excellent problem-solving ability and good business judgment.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate requirements and communicate with a wide audience, displaying professionalism at all times.

  • Organizational & Time Management: Ability to work on own or as part of a team, under time pressure, multitask effectively, and demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Tools Proficiency: Highly PC literate (e.g., MS Office Suite, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Quality Centre, Advanced Excel). Knowledge of PowerBI and SQL is an advantage.

  • Self-Motivation & Adaptability: Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, with a strong sense of initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile methodologies.

  • Knowledge of market instruments and conventions.

  • End-to-end Fund Client facing experience.

  • Knowledge of accounting operating models.
