We are currently recruiting a candidate to join a cross functional global team within the Markets Operations Process Engineering team. The Process Engineering team was formed to support stakeholders both within Operations and across the bank to deliver this multi-year transformation roadmap. Our transformation is underpinned by strategy, investment, change execution and a market-leading change delivery team focusing on program and project management, business analysis, process engineering and low code application development.
Role Overview:
The SVP - Market Operations Program Manager role we are recruiting for will be instrumental in supporting Change initiatives in one or more projects for Markets Operations Process Engineering team. The role will combine strategy, project management expertise and analytical skills to support transformation in partnership with operations teams and technology partners globally across Citi. The role requires a excellent understanding of Markets products and operational processing as well as project management practices and discipline.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the strategy and book of work
- Lead execution of large scale programs including driving the overall plans, managing progress of deliverables, leading business analysis and ensuring all project delivery documentation is in place to the required standard and meeting stakeholder expectations
- Take the lead with stakeholders to ensure program scope definition meets Operations objective, drive requirements to ensure they meet strategic objectives, clearly documented, well understood by all stakeholders including Technology and backed by a business case, cost benefit analysis, tangible benefits and associated KPIs
- Own the communication of status, issue, resolution and risks to the Sponsor and key stakeholders on a timely basis, and engaged in/driving working groups, senior forums, and workshops where required
- Establish and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders acting as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members
- Drive and implement best practices and global consistency, simplifying & standardizing processes, controls and flows.
- Lead identification, and drive resolution of issues, including those outside of the immediate workstream within their remit
- Execute and drive program lifecycle such as testing and operational readiness planning
- Take the lead to facilitate and deliver change to reduce the risk profile
- Drives adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery as defined by Citi PM standards
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
What we’ll need from you:
- Significant experience in delivering transformation programs in a fast paced, large global financial services firm, ideally in an operations, risk or technology organization
- Exceptional Program Management skills; Specialized program management and/or reengineering certifications (six sigma, Agile, Lean, Prince 2 or PMP).
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills. Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities along with a desire to work in a dynamic environment is key.
- Excellent analytical, data management and problem-solving skills and ability to clearly document findings and proposals for solutions using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, Confluence and any other relevant tools.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple levels
- Exercise independence of judgement/autonomy and can operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement with the ability to lead and drive working groups with senior stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
