The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and transactions.
In this role, you’re expected to:
- 3+ years of settlement or middle office operation’s experience in financial institution.
- Experience working for product: Equity / Fixed Income is preferrable
- Understanding of settlement of Equity/Fixed Income operations and/or middle office functions for those products in financial institution
- Experience interacting with Settlement teams, middle office, clients and financial institutions.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environment with tight deadlines
- Have control-oriented mindset
- Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail
- Must be a team player
- Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Change maker. Experience and/or ability to drive for process improvement, efficiency gains with commercial mind set is preferable.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- Perform trade verifications to ensure accuracy of booking requests
- Complete settlement tasks and daily rate revaluations accurately and on time
- Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
- Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention activities in accordance with established policies
- Prepare and submit periodic internal and external client / regulatory reports
- Deal with variable business issues and responsible for analysis of issues
- Assist and provide support to manager and team member and has ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Provides value-added perspective that contributes to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow of the area
- Partners effectively with other employees and Citi business units
- Business level English and Japanese

- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance
