Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage data science projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Develop and maintain data models, algorithms, and reporting systems to support data analysis and decision-making.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through regular audits and validation processes.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Expected Qualifications:
- 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities
- Implement credit risk strategies that continue to grow our US & Canada BNPL products, in a responsible manner
- Design tests to continuously learn about our customers
- Align priorities with relevant stakeholders across the business
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, product, and engineering teams to ensure policies are implemented on time and with appropriate monitoring and controls
- Take a proactive approach to influence decisions that impact all aspects of the application funnel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing credit risk for a BNPL or install loan product
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, or a similar language
