The Alternative Investment Sales Lead is a senior strategic contributor responsible for driving the distribution and adoption of Alternative Investment solutions across Citi Wealth’s client segments—including Citigold, Citigold Private Client, Wealth at Work, and the Private Bank. This role provides expert coverage across private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and hedge fund strategies, delivering product expertise, advisor enablement, and implementation guidance.

The Sales Lead partners closely with Bankers, Investment Counselors, and external managers to deepen relationships, expand AUM, and support high‑quality client outcomes. This individual must demonstrate strong technical knowledge of alternative investments, a proven track record in investment sales, and exceptional relationship‑building and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Alternative Investment Expertise & Advisor Enablement

  • Demonstrate deep expertise across the full spectrum of Alternative Investments, including Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Hedge Funds.
  • Serve as the internal subject‑matter expert, educating Bankers, Investment Counselors, and stakeholders to improve product proficiency, suitability understanding, and client engagement.
  • Explain complex investment structures, market dynamics, and historical trends in a clear, intuitive manner tailored to diverse audiences.

Sales Leadership & Pipeline Management

  • Develop, manage, and execute a disciplined sales pipeline across all Citi Wealth segments.
  • Participate in client meetings with Bankers and deliver high‑impact presentations, portfolio discussions, and product pitches.
  • Partner with Banker teams to achieve Alternative Investment revenue and AUM targets; contribute to both new business acquisition and expansion of existing relationships.
  • Provide ongoing client servicing support post‑investment, ensuring a seamless and high‑quality experience.

Product Marketing & Launch Execution

  • Present investment product features, benefits, and performance considerations in internal meetings, training sessions, and conference calls.
  • Support the launch and ongoing marketing of new Alternative Investment offerings.
  • Collaborate with external General Partners (GPs) to coordinate product rollouts, investor communications, and servicing initiatives.

Risk, Compliance & Conduct

  • Assess risks thoughtfully when making business decisions, prioritizing Citi’s reputation and client outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, Citi policies, and best practices regarding suitability, disclosures, and product governance.
  • Apply sound ethical judgment and maintain transparency in identifying, managing, and escalating control-related issues.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of investment sales or advisory experience, with a strong focus on Alternative Investments.
  • Extensive background in Wealth Management or Private Banking with experience supporting complex individual or institutional clients.
  • Proven sales and relationship management skills with a demonstrated history of cultivating successful internal and external partnerships.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63/66 licenses required.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills; able to convey sophisticated concepts to a broad audience.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical abilities, creative problem‑solving skills, and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
