The Data/Information Management Manager (AVP) not only shoulders supervisory responsibility of analyst & developers' team(s) but also applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services in Operations Business Intelligence (BI). He/she is expected to manage ‘as-is’ delivery and contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within Operations BI.

Program / project management (Agile / Scrum), Executive communication, Change management skills are must-have.

Over and above managing end-to-end Operations BI and Performance reports’ delivery, full supervisory responsibilities of the team(s) rest on the AVP. This entail motivating and developing team(s) through professional leadership and includes duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations. The AVP would have responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of outputs and shared responsibility for planning and budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • Various data activities, which include data analysis, maintenance, data quality, and database management or database architecture / design engineering
  • Use some independence of thought, collaborate with stakeholders and technology to solve for complex data problems
  • Contribute to workflow or process change and redesign, and to form a basic understanding of the specific product or operational process
  • Accountable for regular operations performance reporting
  • May direct day-to-day work of junior analysts & developers
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience
  • Knowledge of data engineering, reporting & visualization, decision analytics
  • Expertise in AI tools & techniques
  • Understanding of Operational processes & business models prevalent in banks / financial services, will be an added advantage

Education:

  • B. Tech / Masters' degree or equivalent experience
