Role Overview:

The Reference Data Services Representative is a pivotal role, responsible for performing complex assignments that directly influence the quality and service delivery of the business. This individual operates with significant autonomy, managing and maintaining critical reference data, especially settlement instructions, across a wide array of products and services. The role demands in-depth knowledge of team objectives and a keen understanding of how responsibilities contribute to overall functional goals, while consistently upholding high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing maintenance and refresh of existing customer data and settlement instructions.
• Set up and maintain settlement instructions efficiently within various internal applications.
• Engage daily with global operations teams to ensure prompt and accurate updates of all settlement instructions.
• Actively monitor settlement rates and collaborate with other operations teams to ensure correct and timely SSI additions.
• Directly source settlement instructions from clients for data refresh, exception processing, and workflow requests.
• Contribute to and deliver reference data remediation projects as directed by management.
• Exercise oversight over offshore vendor activities and ensure adherence to required standards.
• Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with regulations and firm policies.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in reference data services or a similar operational role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Settlement Instruction (SSI) data and related external products/services.
• Understanding of the end-to-end trade flow across diverse financial products.
• University degree
• Ability to work effectively with little to no direct supervision.
• Strong communication skills, demonstrating tact and diplomacy when handling sensitive information.
• Basic knowledge of organizational structure, business operations, and internal policies.
