Transaction Management (TM) sits is responsible for supporting multiple aspects of the lending lifecycle including, but not limited to, loan closing and servicing coordination, facilitating complex client onboarding, data management and quality control. The team is accountable and responsible for operational oversight of the closing and servicing of all lending transactions across the business division being supported, and to ensure all internal and external requirements are met.

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented business management and operations individual to support and coordinate strategic headcount planning, skills matrix development, and training initiatives across the organization. In addition to this we are looking for the individual to support the existing team on other key activities such as Records Management as well as acting floating support within the team.

This role will play a vital part in ensuring our teams are right-sized, future-ready, and equipped with the skills needed to achieve our business goals. The ideal candidate is both analytical and people-oriented, able to translate workforce data into actionable insights and development strategies.

In this role, you’re expected to support the following or run independently:

Headcount Planning:

  • Support strategic workforce planning across teams and in partnership with critical stakeholders.

  • Maintain headcount tracking models to support forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  • Provide insights and reports on staffing levels, attrition trends, and hiring and training needs on a regular basis as well as adhoc required by Head of TM Business Management & Operations.

Skills Matrix Management:

  • Support training team to design, improve, implement, and maintain a comprehensive skills matrix to assess capabilities across roles and teams.

  • Regularly update skills inventory to reflect current capabilities and identify areas for growth.

  • Help identify skills gaps and develop recommendations to address them through hiring or training

  • Ensure skills data remains current through regular reviews and updates

Training & Development Programs:

  • Support wider team in setting up targeted learning and development programs or sessions to close skill gaps and build future capabilities.

  • Partner with subject matter experts to create role-specific learning paths, including monitor training effectiveness through KPIs and employee feedback.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design role-specific and cross-functional training.

Team Capability Monitoring:

  • Support the Training team to Continuously assess team capabilities to ensure alignment with business needs and future growth planning

Provide supporting coverage and assistance for the following activities:

To support team for monthly reconciliations, adhoc activities and periodic control testing.

  • Boundary Governance Forum

  • TM Service Catalogue

  • Capacity Model updates

  • Records Management

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • 10 years of experience in business operations, training and workforce planning, preferably in the banking space

  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with business stakeholders

  • Understanding or operations management and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business performance

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical insights to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Individual must have a sense of accountability and ownership to drive solutions for the business delivery.

  • Individual must have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Individual must be able to challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders in a productive and constructive manner to drive and deliver improvements and efficiencies.

  • Individual must work well under tight deadlines, manage priorities and complete assigned tasks with minimal management follow up.

  • Ability to understand the detail and how the components fit into the larger picture.

  • Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Established knowledge of wholesale lending products including, but not limited to, syndicated loans and letters of credit preferable

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
