Meet the Team:
The Client Optics Test Development Engineering for Luxetra focuses on rigorous testing and validation of optical transceivers to ensure high compatibility, reliability, and performance across Cisco and third-party platforms. This includes extensive optics-level, platform-level, and stress testing methodologies designed to simulate diverse environments and identify potential failure points, thereby guaranteeing robust interoperability and seamless operation in multivendor networks. Their work supports the development of optics that meet stringent quality standards and deliver consistent performance in demanding applications such as AI networks and data centers.
Your Impact:
We are seeking a talented Test Development Engineer - Optical Module to join the manufacturing engineering team. In this role, you will develop and support automated test solutions for next-generation client optical transceivers and sub-assemblies. You will collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure high-quality product delivery and robust production test coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test System Development:
implement and validate automated optical test setups for client optics modules using Python or similar languages.
- Instrumentation & Automation:
Integrate and program electronic/optical test equipment such as Source Meters (Keithley, Keysight), optical power meters, Bit Error Rate Testers (BERTs), and DCA.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
Develop data acquisition and analysis scripts/tools to process large datasets, generate yield reports, and drive root-cause investigations.
- Manufacturing Support:
Deploy and troubleshooting test solutions on manufacturing lines. Provide training and documentation for production teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with design, firmware, and reliability engineers to define test requirements, acceptance criteria, and FA (Failure Analysis) procedures.
