Meet the Team
The Platform Identity team builds the secure foundation that enables millions of users to access the Splunk and Cisco ecosystem seamlessly and safely. Our mission is to deliver a centralized Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform that is scalable, resilient, and intelligent. We collaborate closely with product, security, and infrastructure teams to unify identity across the entire portfolio. If you’re passionate about learning modern identity technologies, solving meaningful engineering challenges, and growing your skills in a supportive environment, this team is the perfect place to start your journey.
Your Impact
As a Junior Software Engineer on the Platform Identity team, you will contribute to designing, building, and improving identity services that support authentication, authorization, and user lifecycle management across Splunk and Cisco products. You will work closely with senior engineers to implement secure and scalable features, maintain existing components, and learn best practices in distributed systems. You will have opportunities to explore identity protocols, contribute to API development, and get hands-on experience with modern security and IAM technologies. Success in this role means demonstrating curiosity, growth, solid technical fundamentals, and the ability to collaborate effectively with your team.
Minimum Qualifications

Eagerness to learn secure, distributed systems and identity technologies.
Preferred Qualifications

-
Knowledge of directory services (LDAP or Active Directory) or willingness to learn.
-
Participation in open-source projects, coding competitions, or personal technical projects.
-
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
