Meet the Team
We are part of Cisco’s Supply Chain Operations. You will join our Hardware Quality team, a diverse group of quality and failure analysis engineers who collaborate closely with our design, manufacturing, supplier, and customer engagement teams. In this role, you will transform complex data into actionable insights, empowering our hardware teams to anticipate and meet the evolving quality expectations of our customers.
Your Impact
As a Quality Data Scientist, you will be instrumental in shaping Cisco’s quality strategy. You will move beyond isolated data analysis to create holistic, systemic views of the product lifecycle. Your work will involve designing automated data pipelines, developing predictive models, and crafting compelling narratives that influence executive decision-making. By partnering with quality engineers and operations teams, you will implement data-driven solutions that proactively detect issues and enhance overall organizational efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a related discipline, with demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis and quality management.
- Proven track record of applying correlation analysis and advanced statistical techniques in a business context.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, self-driven, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with familiarity in data science libraries and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
- Proven experience in crafting data-driven stories and strategic presentations for senior executive leadership.
- Hands-on experience with big data platforms and advanced data visualization tools.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end quality management processes and the ability to identify and bridge data gaps within operations.
- Experience in designing and implementing automated monitoring systems that trigger preventive actions.
