Position Overview

The job profile for this position is System Analysis – Lead Analyst, which is a Band 3 Contributor Career Track Role.

Lead business analysis and requirements definition for Care Solutions delivery, a best‑in‑class utilization/case management(um/cm) platform serving millions of healthcare members across the United States. Partner with US‑based stakeholders and India engineering teams to deliver features that directly impact patient care, provider workflows, and claims processing.

This is a high‑visibility role supporting Technology initiatives targeted at revolutionizing Health Services and Healthcare Delivery systems. You will represent the “voice of the customer” at the team level, ensuring business, system, functional, and non‑functional requirements are fully understood and implemented. The role requires strong business acumen, stakeholder management across time zones, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.

Responsibilities Requirements & Scope Management

  • Work with business and project stakeholders to identify business needs and document application/system scope and requirements
  • Lead scope definition, requirements, and design efforts and estimate work effort
  • Prepare detailed business, system, functional, and non‑functional requirements documentation
  • Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications

AI & Automation Innovation

  • Identify and document opportunities to leverage AI and automation within UMCM workflows to improve efficiency and member experience
  • Collaborate with AI center of excellence teams to evaluate feasibility and define requirements for AI-powered features (predictive analytics, automated triage, NLP for clinical review)
  • Stay informed on emerging AI capabilities in healthcare IT and recommend adoption where relevant to product roadmap

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

  • Coordinate with technology and business organizations to ensure successful delivery
  • Manage stakeholder expectations across US and India teams
  • Facilitate requirements workshops and backlog refinement sessions
  • Build strong relationships despite time zone constraints

Problem Resolution & Support

  • Direct troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Support production issues requiring business context
  • Triage defects and partner with QA for prioritization
  • Answer questions related to system intent and enhancements

Process Improvement

  • Identify and drive process improvement opportunities
  • Participate in retrospectives and root‑cause analysis
  • Provide stakeholder support and architectural inputs

Team Structure & Collaboration Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Senior Engineering Manager in Hyderabad
  • Works in an overlap time with US stakeholders

Team Context

  • Supports one/more agile scrum teams with 7+ Devs & QA
  • Collaborating with Scrum Master, Tech Leads, QA’s, and Engineers
  • Partners with US Product Owners, SMEs, Release Train Engineers, and Production Support teams

  • US Product Owners, SME and business partners
  • Development leads and architecture team
  • Production support advisors

Qualifications Experience & Domain

  • 8-12 years of industry experience and 5+ years in healthcare IT
  • Deep experience in utilization management, care management, or claims systems
  • US healthcare workflows (eligibility, authorization, claims)
  • Large‑scale enterprise healthcare platforms

Agile & Methodology

  • 5+ years hands‑on Agile/SCRUM experience
  • Backlog grooming, sprint planning, requirements workshops
  • Iterative delivery mindset

Technical Acumen

  • Modern SDLC, CI/CD, specification by example
  • Complex integrations, REST APIs, relational databases

Communication

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Stakeholder influence across levels
  • Independent work across time zones

Problem Solving

  • Thrives in ambiguity
  • Strong analytical judgment and execution

Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

  • Kafka, IBM MQ, event‑driven systems
  • Python, Java
  • AWS certifications
  • ETL and data pipelines
  • JIRA, Confluence
  • PMI, IIBA, Scrum, Six Sigma certifications

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA/MTech/MS) or industry certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or Six Sigma Green Belt

Location & Hours of Work

  • Hyderabad‑based, hybrid
  • General Shift - 11:30am – 8:30pm
  • Occasional US‑overlap calls
