Application Developer Senior Analyst:

Position Overview:

The job profile for this position is Application Development Senior Analyst, which is a Band 3 Senior Contributor Career Track Role.

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to drive our software development efforts in creating high-quality technology solutions. The ideal candidate will understand systems requirements, produce clean code, and ensure successful delivery of software solutions aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, test, and deploy technology solutions to meet business needs.

· Write clean code to support project delivery – on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

· Collaborate with other team members at the scrum team and Agile Release Train levels to deliver features and user stories.

· Collaborate with program and business stakeholders to understand the origin and reasoning behind requirements and identify key capabilities to ensure successful product delivery.

· Continuously develop knowledge of emerging technologies and support the pursuit of business development opportunities.

· Understand established architectural decisions, CIGNA technical standards, governance processes, and defined software delivery methodologies.

Qualifications:

Skillset:

1. Experience working with techniques and strategies for how to validate, clean, and transform large amounts of data in transit

2. Experience working with data warehouses and data lakes

3. Experience working with Oracle PL/SQL or postgresql

4. Experience working with the Pyrthon programming language preferred

5. Experience with data modeling and database design principles

6. Experience with query optimization and performance tuning

7. Experience with database concepts such as packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Dynamic SQL, External tables, Exception handling, Triggers, Cursors, Ref Cursors

8. Experience driving db design for projects

9. Experience with version control systems, GIT desired

10. Experience with agile methodologies and/or safe

11. Knowledge of informatica a plus

Knowledge of AWS and AWS Glue a plus:

1. Ability to work in a complex environment with various positions such as tech leads, release management, and security teams

2. Excellent problem-solving skills

Required Experience & Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.

· 4+ years of experience in application program development; technologies including Oracle, MangoDB, AWS Postrgres, Databricks and Python.

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, organized and detail oriented.

· Self-directed and work effectively in a team environment.

· Experience with Agile software development methodology and understands SAFe Agile framework and principles.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

· Experience in Healthcare industry and Pharmacy systems a plus.

· Experience of using Enterprise Jira.
