Software Engineering Analyst Position Overview

This role will be part of the Data Exchange group and will report to Software Engineering Senior Manager. It will require cross coordination between multiple teams for migrations and projects. This role will be a key player and POC in defining and implementing Big Data Strategy for the organization along with driving implementation of IT solutions for the business. This role will also provide direction for implementing best practices to determine optimum solutions and guide other developers and QA on the team.
Responsibilities
- Help business analysts in the team with data mapping by doing required data validations
- Perform in-depth data analysis and data quality checks to help the team in defining business rules to meet functional requirements
- Create SQL queries based on the mappings provided by business analysts and cross functional teams
- Work closely with data engineering team to make sure all the business rules are met while designing data pipelines
- Work on ad-hoc development tasks in azure on need basis
Required Skills:
- Experience with Databricks and Azure resources including navigating workspaces, repos and notebooks, use of SQL editor, SQL Server, Azure Storage accounts, delta & delta live tables etc.
- Familiarity with Scala (basic ability to read, understand and navigate the code to complete analysis and requirements)
- SQL experience (Navigating Servers/DBs, executing basic to intermediate level queries)
- Familiarity with EDI file formats (834, 270/271, Proprietary etc.)
- Strong knowledge of and experience working with data ingestion workflows and pipelines.
- Experience working with various file layouts and data mapping (Canonical, source to target, file schema registries etc.)
- Prior exposure and knowledge of Kafka data exchange mainly in JSON format.
- Skilled at data profiling, data validation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with requirements gathering and documentation with the ability to support highly complex projects for delivery across multiple work steams and platforms.
- Experience with root cause analysis and gap analysis with the ability to elicit technical requirements as needed.
- Ability to effectively and constructively interact with various internal and external stakeholders including technical and business teams, clients, vendors, business partners etc.
- Ability to navigate large sets of complex data with relative ease.
- Self-reliant, fast learner with the ability to quickly assume responsibility and work independently.
- Exceptional communication skills
- Healthcare domain experience with a focus on member and provider data is a plus
Required Experience & Education:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering
- More than 1 years of experience in Big data solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Management, or a related field.
Location & Hours of Work
Hybrid, 3 days from Hyderabad office is must.
