Software Development Engineer - Verity Solutions - Remote

The Software Development Engineer is a key contributor to Verity’s industry-leading medication purchasing platform. This role focuses on building and enhancing scalable applications across reporting, analytics, optimization, and predictive capabilities, working with modern software technologies and complex healthcare supply chain data models. As a Software Development Engineer, you will contribute to an industry‑leading platform that supports reporting, analytics, optimization, and predictive capabilities across complex healthcare data sets. You will collaborate with product and engineering peers to design scalable solutions, continuously improve how we build software, and deliver meaningful value to customers who rely on our products every day.
Responsibilities:

Design, build, and enhance scalable full‑stack features that support product strategy and business outcomes.

Develop reliable backend services and intuitive frontend applications using modern engineering practices.

Partner closely with product managers and peers to translate business needs into well‑designed technical solutions.

Contribute to delivery planning by providing thoughtful estimates and owning assigned work through completion.

Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code aligned to established engineering standards.

Use modern development tools, including AI‑assisted technologies, to improve productivity and code quality.

Support high‑quality releases by collaborating with QA and operations teams and participating in production support.
-
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to ensure stable and reliable platform performance.

Continuously improve team processes, code quality, and development practices through feedback and experimentation.
-
Stay current with evolving technologies and apply new ideas where they add value.
-
Protect sensitive and proprietary data by following security, privacy, and HIPAA requirements.
Required Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience building web‑based applications and backend services.
-
Proficiency in at least one backend programming language, such as Go (preferred).
-
Experience developing modern frontend applications using frameworks such as React or Angular.
-
Solid understanding of software design principles, development patterns, and service‑oriented architectures.
-
Experience working with APIs, version control systems, and CI/CD workflows.
-
Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and work effectively within an Agile team.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience with NoSQL databases and data modeling, such as MongoDB.
-
Familiarity with cloud platforms and cloud‑based application development (AWS preferred).

Experience working with healthcare, pharmacy, or highly regulated systems.
-
Demonstrated growth mindset, curiosity, and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 111,700 - 186,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
