Software Engineering Advisor Position Overview

The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Advisor, which is a Band 4 Contributor Career Track Role.

Our people make all the difference in our success. We are looking for engineers to develop, optimize and fine-tune AI models for performance, scalability, and accuracy. In this role you will support the full software lifecycle of design, development, testing, and support for technical delivery. This role requires working with both onsite and offshore team members in properly defining testable scenarios based on requirements/acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior technical leader across multiple product teams, influencing architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, clean architecture principles, SOLID design practices, and modular development approaches.
  • Lead architecture reviews, provide impact analysis for new initiatives, and guide long-term technical direction.
  • Ensure maintainability and performance of existing legacy systems while planning structured technical debt reduction.
  • Drive progressive modernization initiatives across legacy enterprise systems and modern cloud-native platforms.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through structured code reviews and engineering Communities of Practice (Dev Tribes).
  • Identify and evaluate pragmatic opportunities to leverage AI/ML and Generative AI within existing enterprise applications to improve automation, efficiency, and user experience.
  • Architect and guide implementation of LLM-based solutions, including RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks such as Lang Chain or Lang Graph.
  • Ensure AI integrations are secure, scalable, observable, and compliant with healthcare data standards.
  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate evolving requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Participate in agile development processes and promote modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, TDD, and Dev Sec Ops.
  • Represent engineering perspectives in cross-functional technical discussions and influence technical decisions across global teams.

Qualifications Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in C#, SOLID Design Principles/Patterns, OOP, Data Structures, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, ReactJS, xUnit, TDD, Kafka, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Azure (including Terraform and AKS), Cosmos DB.
  • Hands-on experience working with legacy enterprise technologies such as Classic ASP, VB.NET, and traditional ASP.NET applications.
  • Experience modernizing monolithic applications into modular or microservices-based architectures.
  • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, Event Driven Architecture, Sonar Qube, Check Marx.
  • Hands-on experience designing and integrating AI/ML or Generative AI solutions within enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of LLM-based architectures including RAG, embeddings, vector stores, prompt engineering, and evaluation techniques.
  • Understanding of security, governance, and compliance considerations in regulated domains.
  • Experience with agile methodologies including SCRUM.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required Experience & Education:

  • Software engineer with 13–15 years of overall experience, including significant hands-on experience in architecture, modernization, and enterprise solution design.
  • Engineering degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study

Location & Hours of Work

  • Hybrid 3 days a week from office
  • Hyderabad
