Electrical Mechanical Technician (Automation Engineer Senior Analyst)

Responsibilities
- Maintain high-performing automation systems by executing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across PLCs, robotics, controls, and electro-mechanical systems to minimize downtime and restore production quickly
- Improve equipment reliability by monitoring performance trends and increasing Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
- Identify root causes of system issues and implement lasting solutions that enhance machine performance and consistency
- Support continuous improvement by recommending and implementing equipment upgrades, modifications, and process enhancements
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to detect early signs of performance degradation and prevent failures
- Document all maintenance activities, labor hours, and parts usage in CMMS (MAXIMO) to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
- Partner with engineering, developers, and operations teams to improve system design and operational efficiency
- Maintain readiness to support operations through on-call responsibilities and flexible scheduling
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 0–2 years of hands-on experience working with automated or industrial electro-mechanical equipment
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, I/O systems, and field devices in a production or manufacturing environment
- Ability to repair, adjust, and maintain mechanical and pneumatic systems with precision
- Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as MAXIMO
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement solutions
- Ability to work flexible shifts and support on-call operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical field
- Experience in a high-volume or pharmaceutical production environment
- Familiarity with robotics and automated control systems
- Knowledge of OSHA 1910 safety standards or formal safety training
- Experience supporting equipment upgrades, system integrations, or process improvements
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support other facilities
