Software Engineering Advisor:

Position Overview

Evernorth, a leading Health Services company, is looking for exceptional data engineer in our Data and Analytics organization. In this role, you will actively participate with your development team on initiatives that support Evernorth's strategic goals as well as subject matter experts to understand business logic you will be engineering. As a software engineer, you will help develop an integrated architectural strategy to support next-generation capabilities on an enterprise-wide scale. You will work in an agile environment, delivering user-oriented products.

ODS/RDS applications consolidates the data from various claims systems to transform into common format understandable by any customer facing entities. The ODS/RDS establishes the relationship between a Client Account to the plan and service level benefit information This information is leveraged by consuming Apps to serve the end customers & Analytics teams

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality Code
• Implement Strategy solutions related to Cigna’s Enterprise Operations.
• Collaborate with analysts and Product owner to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design and implement data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our data.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Identifies opportunities and implements improvements to team platforms, processes, and tools to enhance team effectiveness.
• Engage in technical troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Bring Engineering and Operational efficiencies using AI tools

Required Skills:

• Experience in Developing and implementing extremely complicated mappings, and task flows connecting to APIs using Informatica products, shell scripts, Python, etc.

• Hand-on experience on Databricks workspace interface, Managing the data bricks notebooks, and Spark frameworks.

• Experience with AWS services… IAM, EC2, S3, Cloud Watch, Step Functions, Lambdas, MWAA, SQS, SNS, Glue, Athena etc.

• Experience in CI/CD tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Jenkins, Conduits, GitHub

• Strong experience in messaging tools like MQ, Kafka, etc.

• Experience with TDD/BDD frameworks.

• Strong experience in writing complex queries on different databases such as Oracle DB, Data Bricks/Snowflake, etc.

• Strong experience in Oracle, SQL and Stored Procedures

• String debugging skills to troubleshoot production issues and participate in performance-tuning activities.

• Experience in Unit Testing automation, Test Driven Development, and use of mocking frameworks.

• Hands-on experience in infrastructure as a code in a Terraform.

• Experience in Agile methodologies.

• Mentor Junior team members and help them to resolve technical roadblocks

• Required Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.

• 13-15 Years of experience working as a developer.

• Strong experience in Oracle, SQL and Stored Procedures

• Hands-on experience with Oracle, Databricks

• Experience in developing and deploying scalable applications

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Location & Hours of Work

• Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate

• Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WAH)
