Systems Analysis Manager – Epic Payer Platform (AWS)
We’re building the future of connected healthcare—and we’re looking for a seasoned application development leader to help lead the way. In this role, you’ll shape how payer and provider systems work together, powering seamless, secure, and scalable experiences through Epic and AWS. You’ll bring deep expertise, curiosity, and care—balancing high standards with compassion for the people and teams you support.
Responsibilities (Outcomes & Strategic Impact)
- Own and evolve the Epic Payer Platform to enable reliable, high‑value clinical and administrative workflows across payer and provider partners.
- Drive application strategy and technical direction for complex systems that support interoperability, utilization management, eligibility, claims, and care coordination.
- Lead architecture and application design decisions that ensure scalability, security, and high availability in an AWS‑hosted environment.
- Guide integration and data‑exchange strategies using modern standards such as FHIR, SMART‑on‑FHIR, APIs, and EDI to improve connectivity and data quality.
- Translate business and operational needs into well‑designed technical solutions through systems analysis and thoughtful application design.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and analysts, building strong technical capability and confidence across the team.
- Operate autonomously while exercising sound judgment in selecting, adapting, and advancing complex development techniques and tools.
- Monitor technology trends and continuously improve application development practices to deliver better outcomes over time.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in application development, with hands‑on experience in Epic applications or AWS‑based systems.
- Proven ability to work at an expert technical level across the full application development lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare payer and provider workflows, including utilization management, eligibility, and claims.
- Experience performing systems analysis and translating complex requirements into scalable solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while providing technical guidance to others.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience leading or managing application development teams.
- Experience supporting Epic Payer Platform implementations or similar large‑scale healthcare platforms.
- Deep understanding of interoperability standards (FHIR, SMART‑on‑FHIR, OAuth2, APIs, EDI).
- Epic certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred, not required).
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
