Software Engineering Advisor Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Test Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Test Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test data management solutions. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, quality assurance analysts, and other stakeholders to identify data requirements, develop test data strategies, and participate in the automation of data processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, software testing methodologies, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solid grasp of Test Data Management (TDM) concepts, including data masking, subsetting, synthetic data creation, profiling, provisioning, and compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing data requirements and addressing issues with data quality, availability, and security.
• Hands-on experience with mainframe systems, particularly with JCL, VSAM, and related data processing technologies.
• Knowledge of mainframe data structures such as fixed-length records, VSAM files, and PDS/PDSE datasets, including test data generation using mainframe utilities like File-AID and IBM File Manager.
• Familiarity with mainframe databases like DB2 for z/OS, with proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot mainframe applications, especially in the context of test data generation and data masking processes.

Qualifications (Technical Requirements):

• Strong Experience in SQL, JCL, No-SQL, Mongo DB, DB2
• Strong Experience of incident management and delegation in SNOW portal.
• String Knowledge in Java, Spring Boot, Micro service API -- Good to have
• Knowledge in REST API, POST MAN – Good to have
• Cloud Environment: AWS, Open Shift – good to have

• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with requestors to translate high level or vague specifications into a clear data strategy to support project/program testing.
• Functions well in a large-scale, highly complex, dynamic cross-functional work environment
• Strong time management skills, ability to prioritize workloads and meet assignment deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and a passion for constant learning.
• Knowledge of Health industry/PBM a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with others and establish working relationships across the company.
• Strong customer service focus & facilitation skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Project.
• Ability to drive the team and take ownership and accountability of team.
• Ability to operate in cross-functional/ multi team initiatives.
  Adaptability of continuous learning.

Required Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
• 5 to 8 years of experience in developing JCL, Mainframe systems, DB2 and SQL.

Location & Hours of Work

< >Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India in a hybrid working model (3 days WFO and 2 days WFH)
