Position Overview:

The role of the Senior Automation QA Engineer will work with Project and App dev teams to strategize Automation Testing and guide the Automation Testing team. We need a Senior QA Automation Engineer who is successful in growing, developing, and implementing automated testing solutions to maximize testing coverage and reduce test cycle time. This will require cross coordination between multiple teams.

This role will also provide direction for implementing best practices to determine optimum solutions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for architecting, designing and implementing test automation frameworks from ground up into a continuous integration and execution model

• Evaluate existing automation framework and provide automation solution for building end to end regression suite

• Develop, execute and maintain automation test scripts to meet software release deliverables, project testing requirements and other quality considerations

• Define test data conditions and partners and works closely with Data team to obtain the data.

• Actively engage in defect reporting and triaging

• Responsible for creating data portability functions. Create data necessary for the scripts based on the functionality

• Responsible for developing smoke, functional and regression test suites for GUI Front End, and Database backend

• Document, maintain, and monitor software problems

• Recommend strategies and methods to improve test plans and test processes

• Maintain well organized records of test results and generate historical analysis of test results

• As a member of the scrum team, closely interact with both onsite and offshore team members. The onsite and offshore interactions include scrum team members (Scrum masters, developers, Product Owners and QA at onsite and offshore)

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of test automation testing

• Experience in testing web application and web services developed using latest technologies and frameworks: .NET, C#, JAVA, Rest, XML, JSON, JQuery, etc.

• Proficient in using test automation tools such as Selenium Web Driver/IDE/Grid to develop automation testing scripts for web and client server applications.

• Build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (Azure DevOps preferred)

• Integrate test suite, cybersecurity tools and other automation tools with deployment pipeline

• Testing, evaluation and implementation of cloud and container solutions that use Virtual Machines, cloud platforms, and infrastructure as code frameworks

• Willingness to learn and work in areas other than Testing(e.g., Auditing/Finance tools)

• Solid understanding of Quality Assurance methods and practices

• Expertise in Automation Testing Framework creation from scratch

• Agile testing methodologies

• Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to effectively work with both technical and non-technical resources

• Solid understanding of STLC /SDLC

• Healthcare background is a plus

Required Experience & Education:

• Bachelor's degree equivalent in Computer Science, equivalent preferred.

• At-least 4-5 years of experience in automation engineering.

Location & Hours of Work

Hyderabad and Hybrid (11:30 AM IST to 8:30 PM IST)
