Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Functional QA Engineer with strong Automation expertise to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad, India. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our Salesforce applications, supporting both US and India-based teams. As a Functional QA Engineer, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive functional and automated testing, leveraging your expertise in modern QA tools, frameworks, and scripting to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Functional Testing:

Conduct thorough functional testing to validate the accuracy, completeness, performance, and business requirements of Salesforce applications.

• Automation Testing:

Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web services, APIs, and UI layers to reduce regression effort and improve test efficiency.

• QA Tools Proficiency:

Demonstrate deep knowledge and hands-on experience with QA and automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, BDD frameworks, Provar, and other relevant testing tools.

• Scripting Expertise:

Write robust, reusable, and efficient automated test scripts using appropriate scripting/programming languages to support scalable test automation.

• Automation Framework Development:

Design, enhance, and maintain automation testing frameworks (UI, API, and integration testing) aligned with industry best practices.

• Data-Driven & Keyword-Driven Testing:

Implement data-driven and keyword-driven testing strategies to improve test coverage and reduce manual testing effort.

• CI/CD Integration:

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and early defect detection.

• Best Practices Adherence:

Follow industry-standard QA and automation best practices, including test design, code reviews, version control, and documentation.

• Collaboration:

Collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, DevOps, and project managers to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.

• Communication:

Communicate clearly and effectively—both verbally and in writing—by providing accurate status updates, defect reports, test summaries, and improvement recommendations.

• Ownership & Accountability:

Take full ownership of assigned testing deliverables and follow through on commitments to drive overall project success.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in QA, with a strong focus on functional and automation testing.

• Proven hands-on expertise with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, BDD, Provar, and similar technologies.

• Strong experience in designing and maintaining automation testing frameworks for UI and API testing.

• Experience with data-driven, regression, and continuous testing approaches.

• Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) is a plus.

• Strong understanding of SaaS / Pega testing concepts and enterprise application testing.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a global team.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
