Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead – Functional & Automation to join our team in Hyderabad, India. In this role, you will lead quality assurance efforts for Salesforce applications, working closely with US and India-based stakeholders. You will be responsible for defining QA strategy, leading functional and automation testing initiatives, mentoring QA engineers, and ensuring high-quality, scalable releases across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • QA Leadership & Strategy:

Define and drive the overall QA strategy, test approach, and quality standards for Salesforce applications across multiple releases.

  • Functional & Automation Testing Oversight:

Lead and oversee functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing efforts, ensuring comprehensive coverage and high-quality outcomes.

  • Automation Leadership:

Own the test automation strategy, including tool selection, framework design, implementation, and continuous improvement for UI and API automation.

  • Hands-on Automation:

Design, develop, review, and optimize automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, BDD frameworks, Provar, and other relevant technologies.

  • Automation Framework Governance:

Architect, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks, ensuring reusability, stability, and alignment with best practices.

  • Data-Driven & Continuous Testing:

Drive adoption of data-driven, keyword-driven, and continuous testing approaches to reduce manual effort and improve release confidence.

  • CI/CD & DevOps Collaboration:

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and early defect detection.

  • Team Leadership & Mentoring:

Lead, mentor, and guide QA engineers, providing technical direction, code reviews, and career development support.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

Partner with developers, product owners, architects, and project managers to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.

  • Defect Management & Reporting:

Own defect triage, root cause analysis, and quality metrics; provide clear dashboards, test reports, and release readiness assessments.

  • Best Practices & Governance:

Establish and enforce QA and automation best practices, standards, and documentation across teams.

  • Ownership & Accountability:

Take end-to-end ownership of QA deliverables, timelines, and quality outcomes for assigned programs or products.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in QA, with at least2–3 years in a QA Lead or Test Lead role.

  • Strong expertise in functional and automation testing, preferably in Salesforce or enterprise applications.

  • Proven hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, BDD, Provar, and similar tools.

  • Solid experience in designing and governing automation frameworks for UI and API testing.

  • Experience implementing data-driven, regression, and continuous testing strategies.

  • Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to balance hands-on testing with team leadership responsibilities.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
