Job Summary:

As a Supply Chain Data Enablement & Analytics Intern, you will support the Ciena Global Distribution Company, Ltd. team in leveraging data to optimize supply chain operations, improve decision-making, and drive efficiency. You will assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting to identify trends, create insights, and contribute to actionable recommendations.

• Job Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize supply chain data from various sources (e.g., ERP systems, logistics platforms, inventory databases).

• Assist in developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to visualize key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs).

• Conduct basic statistical analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement within the supply chain.

• Support the development and implementation of data models and analytical tools.

• Collaborate with supply chain professionals to understand data needs and translate them into analytical solutions.

• Document data processes, methodologies, and findings clearly and concisely.

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on supply chain optimization strategies.

• Assist with ad-hoc data requests and projects as needed.

• Job Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude for working with data.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data manipulation).

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) is a plus.

• Basic understanding of SQL or other database query languages is advantageous.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex data insights.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
