Electrical Fire Alarm Technician / Electrician – Service & Minor works

Chubb Fire & Security, an industry leader, is seeking a Service & Minor works Electrical Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing Townsville team. This position involves servicing Fire Protection Systems and Equipment to Chubb Fire & Security’s agreed standard of quality and excellence, whilst exceeding customer service expectations.

Your general responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage/Assist with Key Customers Fire service needs
  • Installation, Modification, Commissioning and repair of Fire Detection, Warning Systems, Smoke Alarms & Emergency / Exit lights
  • Survey customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment.
  • Manage and maintain all assigned company property, including documents, tools, equipment, vehicles, product, etc.
  • Report work progress and performance by completing productivity / key performance indicator (KPI) reports
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and processes in accordance with Chubb Fire & Security
  • Attend all scheduled training programs. In house training to be provided to successful candidate
  • Maintain best in class customer service
  • Technical Assistance/backup for On Call Technicians

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Customer focused attitude
  • Good time management skills
  • Be a result driven individual
  • Ability to work in team environment and also a self-starter
  • Current Driver’s Licence

Desired attributes;

  • Sound knowledge of the applicable Australian Standards relevant to Fire Systems protection equipment
  • Previous experience in fire systems inspections & maintenance
  • Up to date product and industry knowledge
  • Australian Standards, Fire Alarm –Electrical systems
  • QBCC licence
  • Electrical trade qualification
