Chubb Fire & Security is seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Contracts & Special Projects Manager to join our Christchurch team. This position provides an opportunity to lead the delivery of fire projects while contributing to the ongoing growth and performance of our business.

This role will appeal to an experienced professional within the fire protection sector or a capable construction or project manager who is interested in applying their project delivery expertise within the fire protection industry.

About the Role

In this position you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple fire projects, overseeing them from final design and planning through to installation, commissioning, and completion. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with quality and compliance requirements.

The role also includes responsibility for the operational and financial performance of the fire contracts portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the delivery of fire installation projects

Managing project planning, procurement, scheduling, and resource allocation

Monitoring project financial performance including forecasting, budgets, and cost control

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors

Supporting business development and identifying opportunities for growth

Leading, mentoring, and supporting project teams to achieve high performance

Ensuring strong Health & Safety leadership across all project activities

About You

We are looking for someone who brings strong leadership capability, sound commercial judgement, and proven project delivery experience.

You will demonstrate:

The ability to build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

Confidence leading teams and managing multiple priorities

A proactive approach to challenges and continuous improvement

A strong commitment to workplace safety and team wellbeing

Your experience may include:

A background in fire protection systems, or

Project or construction management experience with transferable technical and commercial skills

Familiarity with New Zealand Standards, the New Zealand Building Code, and compliance processes would be beneficial but is not essential.

Applicants must hold New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
