The Country Inn & Suites is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented full-time Public Space Cleaner who is looking to be a part of our fun and dynamic work environment.
Compensation starts at $20.00/hour, with benefits and potential for growth. Public Space Cleaners are an essential part of our hotel team. In addition to cleaning and maintaining public areas, restrooms, corridors, and service spaces, Public Space Cleaners help build and maintain the look and image of the hotel.
- Prior hotel housekeeping or public area cleaning experience preferred
Public Space Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining public areas daily in accordance with brand standards. Specifically, Public Space Cleaners will be entrusted with the below job responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain hotel lobby, front desk areas, and seating areas
- Clean and sanitize public and employee restrooms and replenish supplies
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in public and back-of-house areas
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, glass, and surfaces
- Remove trash, debris, and recycling from public areas
- Clean elevators, elevator tracks, stairwells, and corridors
- Maintain cleanliness of entrances and exterior guest areas
- Replenish paper goods, soap, and sanitizer stations
- Maintain supplies necessary to clean efficiently
- Utilize proper cleaning methods to prevent injury
- Keep supply cart stocked
- Assist with room cleaning and laundry as needed
- Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned
- Report deficiencies or safety concerns to housekeeping/engineering
- Ensure cleanliness of hallways, elevators, public areas and service corridors
- Project an image of professionalism and friendliness
- Adhere to the hotel’s lost and found policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Ideal candidate will have hotel or commercial cleaning experience
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate with managers, team members and guests
- Must possess a strong team spirit
- Maintain high energy for long periods of time
Physical Demands:
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- Ability to lift, pull, push up to 70 pounds on an ongoing basis
- Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist repeatedly
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
