Summary

Chobani continues to grow rapidly as we expand production capacity, introduce new product platforms, and invest in world-class food manufacturing technologies. The Process Engineer – Capital Projects plays a critical role in this growth by serving as the technical owner of new processing systems from conceptual design through startup, commissioning, validation, and final handoff to Operations.

This role bridges process engineering, project engineering, and plant operations—ensuring that new systems are designed, specified, and executed to meet Chobani’s requirements for safety, food quality, performance, and long-term reliability. The Process Engineer will collaborate closely with area process engineers, project managers, external engineering partners, OEMs, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate operational needs into robust engineering designs.

This is a hands-on, highly technical, and deeply cross-functional role responsible for defining process requirements, developing front-end and detailed engineering solutions, reviewing design packages, supporting procurement, leading FAT/SAT activities, and ensuring new assets are delivered ready for safe, efficient, and compliant operation.

· Ensure all capital projects meet food safety (e.g., FSMA), environmental, and regulatory requirements, including hygienic design, zoning, and material compatibility.

· Lead or support commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV) activities, ensuring new systems are installed, tested, and documented per GMP and internal quality standards.

· Provide input on design for process improvements concurrently to other process engineers.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Occasional travel required to equipment vendors and other Chobani sites.
