About the Role

Chewy is looking for a Financial Reporting Senior Analyst to join our Financial Reporting, Technical Accounting & Consolidations team based out of our Plantation, FL headquarters. This is a key position that will manage all aspects of our financial reporting and consolidation processes, focused primarily on consolidating a multinational organization for the purposes of end-to-end SEC and internal financial reporting. You will be an integral part of a world-class team by promoting collaboration and business expertise to deliver a high-caliber work product and will gain invaluable experience as we navigate our continued expansion within the fast-growing and evolving e-Commerce industry.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare disclosures and related support for quarterly and annual financial filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
  • Play a significant role in preparing financial reporting deliverables on a periodic, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Prepare periodic, quarterly, and annual internal financial statements and other support for meetings with key stakeholders
  • Analyze and enhance existing disclosures and financial reporting and consolidation processes and procedures to address new challenges, initiatives, and guidance from authoritative bodies
  • Ongoing preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation procedures in accordance with US GAAP guidelines
  • Responsible for ensuring that all intercompany elimination entries are properly documented and recorded
  • Liaise with other departments (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Tax, Legal) to ensure that intercompany transactions and activities and other consolidation matters are properly documented and recorded
  • Liaise with both external and internal auditors to provide information and resolve issues
  • Assist in researching, analyzing and documenting accounting policies and procedures

What You'll Need

  • BA/BS in Accounting & CPA required
  • 3+ years of experience with respect to financial reporting and/or consolidation
  • Prior experience from a mix of Big 4 and global companies preferred
  • Experience with consolidation and accounting ERP tools (i.e. Oracle FCCS, Oracle ERP, Hyperion)
  • Experience with SEC and financial reporting tools (i.e. Workiva)
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, specifically consolidation and intercompany transactions
  • Strong financial analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects under tight time constraints
  • Ability to deal with imperfect information and ambiguity
  • SOX and internal controls experience
  • Position may require travel
